50 Billion App Downloads: We're Nearly There!

As we get closer and closer to the 50 billion downloads milestone, Apple think of new and innovative ways to advertise it. Just visit Apple's homepage, you'll notice it straight away. There is a slideshow of three photos, all of them showing something relevant with the 50 billion app downloads. One says "With 50 billion steps, you could walk around the Earth more than 800 times." The next one famously states: "With 50 billion bricks, you could build 12 Great Walls of China." And last but not least "Counting to 50 billion would take you 1,600 years." These short, yet powerful sentences make you realise how big a number 50 billion really is. Oh and it's BIG I tell you. To celebrate, Apple are giving a $10,000 App Store gift card to the person who download the 50 billionth app. The next 50 runners-up will get a $500 gift card each. According to my prediction, we should hit the mark sometime at the end of next week (19th May) so get ready! You could win, oh and you would win big.
